Preseason Showdown: Washington Commanders Take on Cincinnati Bengals in a Battle of Rising Stars!

The Washington Commanders faced off against the Cincinnati Bengals in their preseason finale and emerged with a hard-fought 21-19 victory. Despite many starters sitting out, several players made a strong impression during the game. Jake Fromm, the former Bulldog, had an impressive performance, completing 13 out of 18 passes for 144 yards and two touchdowns. Chris Rodriguez also stood out with seven carries for 52 rushing yards, showing power and versatility in pass protection. Mitchell Tinsley, a rookie from Penn State, continued to impress with three catches for 89 yards and almost two touchdowns. Khaleke Hudson had a limited but impactful appearance, making three tackles, including two for a loss, and displaying speed and decisiveness. Christian Holmes showcased strong tackling and coverage skills, while William Bradley-King was dominant in the Bengals’ backfield, recording three tackles and a sack. On the flip side, Kazmeir Allen had a disappointing night, dropping two passes and fumbling a punt return. Chris Paul also struggled, appearing slow and getting beat in some plays. Despite some ups and downs, there were notable performances from Quan Martin, Cole Turner, Ricky Stromberg, Mason Brooks, and Jarrett Patterson. David Mayo stood out against second and third team players, Terrell Burgess impressed at safety, and Jace Whittaker demonstrated his skills on the field. Overall, the Commanders’ victory in this preseason game provides them with positive momentum heading into the start of the NFL season.
